Thanks! Yeah, the origin of Animalia is complex and I greatly oversimplified for brevity- sponges and jellyfish also long predate the Cambrian explosion. In one of the footnotes I suggest Animalia DID originate on Earth, was carried to Venus via impact ejecta, and then animals evolved more quickly on Venus before being thrown back to Earth. Totally unprovable speculation, of course, but fun to think about!
